Based in Atlanta, Georgia, my client provides Dutch-made Elastilon® hard wood flooring systems and Malaysian-made KTL Sports Flooring systems to installers and DIY retail outlets across the USA.
STEP 1:
The client brief required a simple logo with clean design lines.
A few rough concept logo designs were presented for discussion.
STEP 2:
The concept rough was then taken to finished art and a couple of logo options were presented for debate.
The client chose ‘Logo Option A’ from the three design options presented.
STEP 3:
Corporate colours were discussed along with a slogan (by-line) and the finished artwork presented with colour breakdown specifications.
STEP 4:
Client preferred the logo in black & white only and wanted the slogan changed. So that’s what he got (we don’t always get our way, after all, the client is always right. Right?
STEP 5:
Now that the brand logo was done & dusted, I moved on to creating the website.
The client already had the domain name but it was parked on a friends’ hosting package and he wanted it moved to a different host server that he could control.
No problem.
I registered an affordable hosting account (in the clients name), migrated the domain across to the new server, set up the WordPress CMS, loaded the necessary plug-ins and theme, and created the pages.
STEP 6:
The next step involved developing the e-commerce product pages with shopping cart check-out, payment gateways setup, and order stock inventory integrated with QuickBooks.
STEP 7:
Once client was happy, I handed over the website admin login details with instructions on how to maintain the site.
